I’m not sure if you’ve had a chance to check out my latest YouTube video, but it tackles an important moral and ethical dilemma that our species has had to confront since time immemorial.
Oftentimes, the knee-jerk reaction to a murderer is that the State should immediately repay the perpetrator with the same penalty. The Bible affectionately refers to this as “an eye for an eye.”
However, there are unforeseen issues with this idea. And Camus is something of our kind through this issue.
